On March 28, the second meeting of the Coordination Council of Circassian social activists took place in Cherkessk, the capital of Karachaevo-Circassia Republic.
Representatives of the Adygheyan Republican public movement "Circassian Progress", the Maikop city public organization "Adyge Khase - Circassian Council" , the Circassian Cultural Center (Karachaevo-Circassia ), the public organization "Khabze" (Kabardino-Balkaria), a public figure Yuri Yakhutl (Adygea) and others activists.
The upcoming events related to the Day of the Circassian flag (25 April) and the day of memory and grief on May 21 were discussed. Also on the agenda were issues on some Circassian issues, in particular, it was proposed to focus the attention of society and republican authorities not only on studying the Circassian (Adyghe) language but also on more active use of the republican official languages in all fields.
The process of forming the council continues and the next meeting is scheduled in a month.
